Woman migrant worker, man found murdered
A 30-year-old woman migrant worker, hailing from Odisha, was found murdered inside her rented house at Perumal Koil Street, Periyakuppam, Ennore on Sunday morning. The woman was found dead naked with a cloth around her neck. Her husband was missing from the house.

Police suspect that her husband would have strangulated her and escaped.Â
Police said Sugandhi Malik, wife of Prathapkumar Malik had been staying at Periyakuppam and were engaged in construction work. Prathapkumar was suspicious that his wife was having an affair and used to quarrel with her.Â
Neighbours told police that on Saturday also the couple had fought over the same issue. On Sunday, when the neighbours found the doors locked even after 9 am, theyÂ
checked on the house of Sugandhi.Â
When they opened the door, they found the woman lying dead inside. They then informed the Ennore police. Police have registered a case and have launched a hunt for the accused.Â
Meanwhile in Madurai a 50-year-old man was found murdered at Karisalpatti near Tirumangalam on Sunday.Â
The deceased was identified as Alagarsamy, from Karisalpatti. On Sunday he was found murdered at the back of the church in Karisalpatti and onlookers had immediately informed the police.Â
Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Tirumangalam police have booked a case and are in search of the accused.Â
Police said that Alagarsamy was murdered by throwing of a boulder on his head. Investigation is on and previous enmity is suspected to be the reason for the murder.
