Tamil actor Visu joins BJP
Veteran actor, playwright and filmmaker Visu, on Saturday joined the BJP in the presence of senior party leader and Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan.

Speaking on the occasion, Visu, whose films based on comedy and family drama became instant hits among the audience, said "I want to do my best for the people and felt politics is the best way to do it."
"I believe in nationalism and spirituality and I found them in BJP. Hence I chose to join the party", he added.Â
BJP State Unit President Tamizhisai Soundararajan was also present on the occasion. Later talking to reporters, Pon Radhakrishnan said the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Coimbatore on February 2 would be a turning point in state politics.
