Three exams on same date

As the GATE exam for IITs and other central engineering institutes, and the union government’s staff selection commission exam for JEs (Joint Entrance) and the TN government test for appointing AEs for TANGEDCO fall on January 31, aspirants who plan to take up these exams are confused as it would be impossible for them to appear for all three exams simultaneously. According to an aspirant who applied for all three tests, he said he received the admit card for GATE exam two days ago and the exam would take place on January 31. 

“The staff selection commission’s test for junior engineer (civil/electrical/mechanical, quantity surveying and contract) examination which was scheduled to take place on December 20 was postponed to January 31, 2016. Besides TANGEDCO has planned to conduct test for assistant engineers post on January 31. I have applied for all three and I don’t know which exam to sit for,” he said. Another aspirant added that the board conducting the tests should first check the timetable of other boards recruiting employees. Students urged concerned authorities to postpone exams in the interest of those taking the test.
