Corporates contribute to Chief Minister’s fund
A number of corporates have made contributions towards the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund

Corporates extended their valuable contribution towards the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund in the view of people affected by the recent deluge in the state. On Tuesday alone, including TVS Motor’s Venu Srinivasan’s Rs5 crore, CMPRF has raised Rs22 crore for the relief and restoration purposes.
The contributors called on Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at the Secretariat on Tuesday and handed over the funds on behalf of their respective institutions.
A statement released by the TN government listed out the funds contributed by various corporate houses. Rs5 crore from President of TVS motors Venu Srinivasan, Rs5 crore on behalf of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi, Rs3 crore from President cum CEO of TAFE Ltd., Mallika Srinivasan, Rs3 crore from Joy Alukkas, the President and M.D of Joy Alukkas Company, Rs2 crore from MD and Vice President of India Cements N Srinivasan, Rs2 crore from Hyundai Motor India Limited’s Managing Director Y K Koo, Rs1 crore from Chief General Manager of State Bank of India Mr. Ramesh Babu and Rs1 crore from CEO and MD of City Union Bank, N Kamakodi were received by the CMPRF.
