You need the right set of friends to ring in birthdays: Shama

A few years ago, I wasn’t a birthday person and I have even had lonely birthdays because I didn’t feel like it. I have enjoyed celebrating others birthday but not mine. Only in the last five or six years, I have been going all out and have been celebrating my birthday. One good reason is that I have been surrounded by the right set of friends and I spend quality time with them. This year, due to lockdown, we restricted it to my home. I hope this ends soon”

she told DT Next. Shama had decorated her house and slayed it in a white dress. “It was only the balloons I had to decorate otherwise the interior of my house looks good enough. Overall, it was a fun birthday with social distancing in place,” she added. Despite being in the industry for over 15 years, Shama hasn’t been a part of a south film till date. “It is because I am not getting the right roles from the south. They are roles that doesn’t have the right essence. Else, I keep getting a lot of offers from the south,” she concluded.
