Subhiksha was getting ready for her workout session at home while we called her to ask what she was upto this lockdown. The actress with the usual excitement in her voice said, “I am getting my yoga mat ready as I do my workout every evening. This is the best time that one can utilise to be in the best shape and get fitter than before. Usually, an artiste’s hectic schedule doesn’t allow time to hit the gym every day. However, there is no excuse now.” The actress’ typical day starts in the kitchen. “Cooking is something I have learned this lockdown. So, kitchen is the place I head to first thing in the morning. I learned to make coffee though I don’t drink. I make coffee for mom and a milk beverage for myself. Post that, I help my mom with cooking. I have also learned cooking and the best dish I make is mango coconut chutney. I have received positive feedback from people, who have tasted it so far,” she said with a smile.

Work calls and meetings too have kept the actress busy in the last four months. “There have been script discussions and narrations through phone calls. I listen to the narration and have come across a few interesting scripts for which I can’t wait to shoot post lockdown. I miss being on the sets. Then I spend my noon watching interesting films on OTT platforms before I start my workout sessions later in the day,” she added. However, Subhiksha’s biggest learning during the COVID-19 pandemic is to stay positive.

“This is the time were most of us have learned to be self-reliant. This in turn, has helped us develop our self confidence levels as well. I have learned to stay positive and hope for better things in future. This too shall pass,” she concluded.
