Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru bags ‘U’ certification

The production company wrote, “Soorarai Pottru is about to fly high with ‘U’. Our Maara is ready for action!” (sic) In the poster, Suriya is seen wearing a pilot’s uniform, kneeling in front of a plane with a massive ‘U’ in the background.

The announcement comes just days after the actor assured fans in a recent online interaction that the movie will be released in theatres before going digital. Also co-produced by Oscarwinner Guneet Monga, Soorarai Pottru is helmed by Sudha Kongara of Irudhi Suttru fame and has Aparna Balamurali, Mohan Babu and Paresh Rawal in vital roles.

It is based on the life of Air Deccan owner-founder GR Gopinath.
