One of the most common ‘non-essential’ worries among women after the lockdown would be how to manage facial hair and how to take care of the skin. Fret not ladies, you can join one of the online sessions hosted by city’s popular make-up artists and hairstylists where they talk about skincare tips.

But the icing on the cake is that these experts also organises virtual make-up and hairstyling classes.

The lockdown has opened up a lot of avenues for celebrity stylists, make-up artists, and experts of different professions to share their knowledge on social media. “I have been hosting skincare, make-up and hairstyling sessions on Instagram for free. I also go Insta live and make small videos for different beauty techniques.

I think it is a beautiful opportunity for people who wanted to learn about make-up. I am glad that I could play a small role in it and honestly, I have learned a lot during the online sessions. It helped me improvise and upgrade my skills,” says celebrity make-up artist Samantha Jagan.

When make-up artist Jeevitha shared on social media about online make-up and hairstyling class, she didn’t expect a huge response. “I limited the number of participants to 25 so that it will be easy for me to teach and demonstrate.

Participants were continuously asking questions and my sister, who assisted me, jotted down the important queries. So, it was easy for me to go through the questions and answer their doubts,” says Jeevitha. On May 3, Shiny Barbara held her second online beginner class which had around 100 participants from various parts of the world. “Generally, I start the sessions with advice on skincare routine and how to keep skin healthy while staying at home. Many people let go of skincare because they aren’t stepping out of the house. But that shouldn’t be the case. I have conducted two online classes so far and it was a learning experience for me as well. I demonstrate make-up on myself step-by-step with products from the affordable and high range,” shares Shiny.
