Gouri Kishan roped in for Dhanush’s Karnan
Gouri Kishan, who shot to fame with Trisha’s romantic blockbuster 96, has signed her second project in Tamil. The young actress has been roped in to play an important role in Dhanush’s upcoming film with acclaimed director Mari Selvaraj. Titled Karnan, the film is touted to be an action entertainer set in the backdrop of Tirunelveli.

Confirming the same on her official Twitter handle, she wrote, “I am deeply humbled to announce that I am on-board #D41 with the phenomenal @mari_selvaraj sir. #Karnan @dhanushkraja.”(sic) The film also features Malayalam actor Rajisha Vijayan and cinematographer-turned-actor Natty in pivotal roles. Bankrolled by Kalipuli S Thanu, Dhanush will be seen playing the character called Karnan.
Meanwhile, Gouri is also waiting for the release of Telugu film, Jaanu, the official remake of 96. She is apparently listening to scripts in both Tamil and Telugu and will be signing a couple of projects in the coming weeks.
