Vijay overtakes Rajini to a Rs 100 cr pay cheque?

Rumours in Kodambakkam are rife that Vijay will be paid a staggering Rs 100 crore for his 65th film that will be bankrolled by Sun Pictures. When contacted sources, they said, “There has been a talk between the production house and Vijay in joining hands yet again after Sarkar. It is true that Vijay had asked them for a remuneration of Rs 100 crore. However, that isn’t for his 65th film but could be his 66th or 67th film. As of now, Vijay’s dad SA Chandrasekhar is likely to produce Thalapathy 65. Also, Vijay hasn’t signed an agreement with Sun Pictures and the director too hasn’t been decided yet. It means that Superstar Rajinikanth still has a good chance of becoming the first actor to be paid Rs 100 crore in Tamil cinema as he is looking forward to begin the shooting of his next in June.”

Vijay is currently busy shooting for Master, which marks his maiden collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film will feature Vijay in the role of a professor and will have a college backdrop..
