Ratty, Sahi’s quirky number goes viral

The song is quite a hit on social media and the duo is currently in talks for a few projects. Ask them about it and Jaffna-born Ratty says, “The title came about when we were jamming. When we first thought of Naan Kudikka Poren, we thought this catchphrase will be a great Friday anthem. The track has got a great vibe and people can relate to it easily,” The song is produced by Oru Nation Entertainment and besides the two singers, the video also features Anitha Aathma and Durga Sababady.

Ratty wrote the hook and his rap whereas Sahi wrote his portions in the song. “We worked on the song together and shared our elements throughout the creative process. This was mainly to make sure there is synchronization in lyrics and feel of the song,” shares Sahi, who currently resides in the UK. The number also has a funky Nathaswaram bit. “Bringing together two different parallels of hip-hop trap with the cultural elements worked out to be a unique yet enjoyable fusion,” explains Sahi.
