I choose Wilt Bozer over James Carter, says Justin

“We all have a Wilt Bozer inside us. Don’t we? Personally, I love Bozer because he’s smart and funny. Plus, he’s the person that you love to have around because he makes every moment you spend together much more fun. I’d like to think when I step into a room, I bring some joy into it,” the actor of 21 Jump Street fame told DTNext.

He said that he didn’t want to let go of the opportunity to play the role when he was approached. “The producers said I would be playing the best friend/comic relief on the show. I was the lead actor of another show, Rush Hour, prior to MacGyver and the workload for that show was intense. 13 to 15 hours every day. So, when I was offered an opportunity to just be the sidekick and tell jokes- I leaped at the opportunity,” he laughed.

The actor is more popular for playing the lead role of James Carter in Rush Hour. However, he said that he likes Wilt Bozer more. “I’ve made more money playing Wiltz,” he quipped. On a concluding note, Justin shared with us an interesting on location experience. “We were supposed to lightly blow up an ambulance on the show and the explosion got out of hand. Production had to call real firemen to come put out the fire. It was funny,” the actor concluded.
