Rajinikanth honoured with Golden Icon of IFFI

'Superstar' Rajinikanth was felicitated with the Golden Icon of the Golden Jubilee of IFFI Goa.

IFFI festival in Goa stepped into its 50th year of bringing world cinema into India.

An AV of Rajinikanth's movie snippets were played on screen before he was called on to the stage.

He was flanked with his contemporary Amitabh Bachchan, who along with Minister of Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar presented Rajinikanth, the Golden Icon certificate.

Rajinikanth was laconic in his address, he said he respected Amitabh Bachchan and took inspiration from his movies. He furhter said he dedicates the award and honour to his 'gods' (metonym for his fans) back in Tamilnadu.
