“The character will have its own intensity in the film but will not go overboard. I played an Assistant Commissioner of Police in Kuttram 23. In Sinam, I play a sub-inspector who has his own limitations. Hence, the character too has been dealt subtely,” the actor told DTNext. Produced under his own banner Movie Slides Pvt. Ltd, the film is directed by GNR Kumaravel and has Gopinath operating the camera. Talking about Mani Ratnam releasing the poster, which marks their collaboration yet again after Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Arun said, “I’m glad that Mani sir liked the poster and came forward to do this for us despite being busy with Ponniyin Selvan. We spent some quality time discussing films.”
The actor-producer said that Sinam is currently in its second schedule. “The film is shaping up well and Kumaravel’s making is something that I am fond of. We have been shooting across busy schedules in Chennai and simultaneously are on lookout for location for the third schedule,” Arun added. The Thadam actor said that it was a working birthday for him. “I had lunch with the directors of my films on Sinam sets, which means that it was less work. I will be meeting my friends over the weekend and extend my birthday celebrationswith them,”he concluded.
