Impressed with Kaithi, Kamal to work with Lokesh

Kaithi’s success has turned the entire attention of K’town towards Lokesh Kanagaraj. Leading producers and actors have approached him to make a film for them post Thalapathy 64. However, the young sensation has agreed to make a film for Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International. In an earlier interview, Lokesh had said that he was a huge fan of Kamal. “The film will not only be bankrolled by Kamal sir, but also feature him in the lead role. He had recently watched Kaithi and was impressed with Lokesh’s style of narration. Things will be finalised only after Kamal sir returns to Chennai as he is shooting for Indian 2. He will be back in town for his birthday celebrations on Thursday,” a tinseltown source told DTNext

Source added that an official announcement will be made by Kamal Haasan himself on the project by next week. It will be interesting to see how Kamal and Lokesh manage their dates as the actor will immediately start shooting for Thalaivan Irukkiraan after Indian 2 while Lokesh is planning to direct Suriya in a project titled Irumbu Kai Mayavi and will also collaborate with Karthi for Kaithi 2. The director recently tweeted that plans to make Kaithi 2 are already under way and Dilli will be back to enthral theaudience soon.
