Amala to make a comeback in Kollywood
A few days ago, we reported that Dream Warrior Pictures will be bankrolling a Tamil-Telugu bilingual flick, featuring actor Sharwanand in the lead role. The film, which was initially written for Vijay Deverakonda, will be directed by debutant Shree Karthik.

The latest we hear is that veteran actress Amala Akkineni has been approached to play a pivotal role in the film. A source in the know of things says, “Karthik met Amala in Hyderabad during a film’s shoot and narrated the script. She loved her character and immediately agreed to be part of it. Amala will be seen playing the role of Sharwanand’s mom in the film.” It is worth noting that Amala was last seen in a direct Tamil film titled Karpoora Mullai, which released in 1991. The makers of the film have roped in Ritu Varma as the female lead.Actors like Vennila Kishore and Priyadarshini are also part of the project.
