Telly watch:  New game show planned around Thirukkural

The first episode will be aired on November 3. Produced by Shriram Group, the show is directed by Thurai Nagarajan and compered by Aarthi and Krishnan. A preliminary round of talent hunt themed around Thirukkural was held in 10 zones: Chennai, Puducherry, Madurai, Nellai, Thiruvallur, Tiruchy, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem and Vellore, witnessing the participation of 1,695 students.

The grand finale of Kuralodu Vilayadu was conducted recently in Chennai. Thirty finalists selected from the preliminary round participated in the finale.

Three winners (one each in junior, senior and college categories), who excelled in the game, were awarded the coveted title Thirukkural Thilakam.
