Tamil remake of Hindi film Hair Is Falling is titled Sotta

“The film is the official remake of the Hindi film Hair Is Falling (2011). Hence, I believe that the title Sotta would be apt in Tamil and will easily connect with the audience here,” Isaack told DT Next.

The film will have debutant Gemini Rycker playing the lead. “The story doesn’t require a star to reach a mass audience. I wanted someone with a ‘boy-next-door’ image to play the role of a model, a youngster who is going through a hair loss that comes across as a threat to his personal and his professional life. Gemini fits the bill and we are beginning the shoot of the film next week. We are also auditioning a few girls to play female leads in the film. Sotta is a double-heroine subject. In fact, a few aspiring heroines rejected the film,” he explained. The original version has a runtime of only 84 minutes. “I have tweaked the story a little in Tamil and will have a run time of close to two hours,” he concluded.
