The real reason why Lady Superstar does not promote her films

Despite having megastars like Amitabh Bachchan and Chiranjeevi attending the pre-release event of Sye Raa... Nayan skipped the event, much to the ire of her producers. However, there’s a reason why the actress hasn’t promoted her films since her Tamil debut Ayya in 2005. Nayan was just three films old in Malayalam before she forayed into Kollywood. The last film in Malayalam before Ayya bombed at the box office while another film that she attended the pooja of, didn’t even take off. This apparently scared the superstitious actress so much, that she has refused to attend any pre or post release events of her films since then. And despite all the accusations that she is arrogant or too busy, Nayan has been tight-lipped about this decision. In fact, she signs a film only after adding this clause in her agreement papers. But this is not her only superstition. Apparently, Nayan will only go for her shoot in a white Innova and she will never stay at any accommodation that is inside the studio. Of course, we don’t know if these are superstitions are just her way of ensuring that she gets a decent car and good accommodation, but as luck has been on her side so far, maybe her quirks are paying off.
