Not all is well between Imman and makers of Marjaavaan

Ajith’s recent flick, Viswasam, went on to garner rave response from the audience for its storyline, performances and music. Composed by D Imman, songs like Kannana Kanney and Adchithooku became a huge hit down south. Much to the surprise of the audience, the trailer of Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming film, Marjaavaan, was recently released with the theme music of Visawasam in the background.

When netizens pointed this to D Imman, he revealed that he wasn’t aware of it.

He was also upset about how the makers of such big films failed to give credits for his work. He wrote, “Totally Not aware of the Viswasam Bgm score used in the Hindi trailer Marjaavan.

No prior notification from the production house nor the audio label.”(sic)

However, post this incident, the makers of the film have edited the description of the trailer in YouTube to give credits to the composer. Directed by Milap Zaveri, Marjaavaan will hit the screens on November 8.
