Not Sarath or STR, Kamal to continue as Bigg Boss host

Speculations were rife that actor-politician Sarathkumar might take over as the host of the reality show Bigg Boss in coming days. We hear that Kamal has already committed to the channel to host season 4. A source in the tinseltown told DT Next, “Kamal has been using Bigg Boss as a medium to convey his political ideologies, which have not gone down well with a few political bigwigs in the state. They had approached the channel and had suggested that Sarathkumar can take over the show from Kamal Haasan.” There were also rumours doing the rounds that the channel has approached actors Simbu and Suriya as hosts for the next season and Kamal will announce his dissociation from the show soon. The show is set to complete its tenth week soon and despite several controversies this season, viewers have lauded the way in which Kamal has handled them.

When we contacted the channel, they denied the rumours of approaching other actors and revealed to us, “Kamal sir has already confirmed that he is looking forward to hosting the next season of the show as well. There is no question of other actors being roped in to host the show.” Meanwhile, the actor-filmmaker is currently shooting for his magnum opus Indian 2 in Andhra Pradesh, which is being directed by Shankar and will begin shooting for his other movie Thalaivan Irukkiran early next year.
