After Ajith, Boney to produce Dhanush’s film?

A few weeks ago, speculations were rife that actor Dhanush will reprise Ayushmann Khurana’s role in the Tamil remake of hit Hindi film Andhadhun. However, later, director Thiagarajan announced that he has bought the remake rights of the film and his son Prashanth will play the lead.

The latest we hear is that Dhanush has been approached to play the protagonist in the remake of yet another Bollywood flick, Badhaai Ho, which also featured Ayushmann Khurana in the lead. A reliable source tells us that producer Boney Kapoor, who is basking in the success of his first Tamil film, Nerkonda Paarvai, has acquired the remake rights of Article 15 and Badhaai Ho as well.

“Boney Kapoor has the remake rights of Ayushmann Khuranna’s Baadhai Ho. As he is already working on another project with Ajith, Boney felt that Dhanush would be the apt choice for this film. He recently held a couple of meetings with the actor and have even discussed on the possibilities of working together. However, nothing has been finalised yet.” Baadhai Ho revolves around a story of a middle-aged couple, who get unexpectedly pregnant. It’s about how the couple cope with the situation they are in.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is also waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Asuran, which is based on a popular Tamil novel Vekkai. He is also working on a film titled Pattaas, directed by Durai Senthilkumar.
