"André has a great sense of character, a great sense of humour, a great sense of pacing, and he makes very scary movies," said Guillermo, who has backed Ovredal's upcoming horror thriller, "Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark".
On his part, Ovredal feels Guillermo is a master storyteller. "Just his understanding of how to tell a story on screen, not to mention his brilliance with creating stunning creatures, was crucial to doing this film. He has an acute sense of how to heighten everything he touches," Ovredal said.
"Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark" follows a group of teens who must solve the mystery surrounding sudden and macabre deaths in their hometown, and face their fears in order to save their lives. The PVR Pictures release opens in India on August 9.
