Madhavan to reprise Dulquer’s role in Charlie remake

The latest we hear is that actor Madhavan has been approached to reprise Dulquer’s role in the remake and the former has even agreed to be a part of it. 

A source in the know of things tells DT Next, “Charlie’s Tamil remake will be directed by debutant Dhileepan and Madhavan will be essaying the lead role in it. The makers of the film are scouting locations as the shoot is all set to begin in the first week of September. Other cast and crew are yet to be finalised. An official announcement will be made once Madhavan completes his other committments.”

We also hear that the team has initiated talks with actress Parvathy, who played the female lead in the original. Charlie is a feel-good romantic film that completely revolves around the life of a graphic artist Tessa. Meanwhile, Madhavan is also working on the post production of the upcoming biopic Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and also shooting for a trilingual thriller, which features Anushka Shetty in the female lead.
