Nivetha Pethuraj to star in Thadam remake
Earlier, we reported that director Maghizh Thirumeni’s recent blockbuster flick, Thadam, is all set to be remade in Tollywood. The latest we hear is that the makers have already finalised the lead characters and the film might go on floors by the end of this month.

Madurai girl Nivetha Pethuraj, who went on to impress Telugu audience with her performance in films like Mental Madhilo and Chitralahari, has been roped in as the female lead. A source close to the team says, “Nivetha Pethuraj will reprise Smruthi Venkat’s role in the film and Ram Pothineni will play the lead. The makers are still searching for an actress for the role played by Vidya Pradeep in the orginal.” Directed by Kishore Tirumala, the film is a crime thriller which revolves around the life of twin brothers. Nivetha is also waiting for the release of her Tamil film, Pon Manickavel with Prabhudheva.
