Keerthy Suresh shifts her base to Mumbai
Industry insiders say the actress has bought an apartment in the prime location of the city and scouting around for good projects in B’wood.
Chennai
After receiving several accolades for her impeccable performance in Nadigaiyar Thilagam, the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, Keerthy Suresh went on to sign three big commercial entertainers in Tamil, which unfortunately did not do well at the box office. However, following this, there was an announcement that the actress is all set to make her debut in Bollywood, which features Ajay Devgn in the lead role. Reports are there that the film will be based on the life of the renowned football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
While the shoot of the film has already begun, we hear from reliable sources that the Sarkar star has shifted her base to Mumbai and has even bought an apartment in a prime location of the city. A source close to her said, “Keerthy is currently listening to a few scripts in Hindi and might even sign a couple of more projects by the end of next month. That’s one of the reasons why she has decided to stay in Mumbai for a while.” Earlier there was speculation that director Murugadoss initially approached Keerthy Suresh for Darbar, before roping in Nayan. However, we hear that the actress rejected the offer as the dates clashed with her Hindi debut. Industry insiders tell us that the actress, who was earning nearly Rs 2 crore for a project, is now demanding more than Rs 3.5 crore per film. “She has decided to concentrate more on other language films. In fact, her role in her debut Bollywood flick will be a glamourous one,” the source added.
