When we contacted the director of the film Santhosh to clarify, he said, “Yes, Arvind Swami doesn’t have a pair in the film. However, there is a female character and we are in talks with a couple of heroines. An announcement will be made later this week.”

The director said that the script doesn’t require romance portions. “The film is an investigative thriller, which is packed with mysteries and crimes. It is a content-driven film, where every character is important and contribute in taking the storyline forward. So, love portions wouldn’t have done justice to it,” added Santhosh. Romance and glamour have been a part of Tamil films for the commercial aspect of it. With a laugh, Santhosh said, “When I did that in my previous films, the audience asked why I made an adult film. When I write a thriller, I am being asked how a film will be commercially viable without romance portions. I am really wondering what sort of films the audience need from me.”

Produced by Mathiyalagan of Etcetera Entertainment, the film’s title and characters will be announced by the makers soon. On shooting schedules, Santhosh said, “The film is all set to go on floors from June 6.”
