Vishnu Vardhan’s Hindi debut titled Sher Shah
Last year, there were speculations that director Vishnu Vardhan, who is known for making hit films like Billa and Aarambam, is all set to direct a Hindi film.

Now, after almost eight months, the director has revealed the title of the film and announced that Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani will play the lead roles.
Titled Sher Shah, the film will be produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah and Himanshu Gandhi.
The film is based on the life of captain Vikram Batra, who is also known as the Sher Shah of Kargil. He carried out one of the toughest operations during the war of 1999 and was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. “Siddharth Malhotra will play Vikram Batra’s role in the film. The shoot of the film will begin in a couple of weeks.” There were also rumours that Vishnu Vardhan was supposed to do another film with Ajith post the release of Aarambam. However, things didn’t shape up due to various reasons.
