Shankar’s project with Vikram and Vijay not happening

Now, speculations are rife that Shankar has approached Reliance Entertainment for a new project before Indian 2 and is even in talks to rope in Vijay and Vikram as the leads. There are rumours that the film will be a complete entertainer with huge star casts. It is worth noting that Shankar has earlier teamed up with Vikram for Anniyan and I, while with Vijay for Nanban. However, when DT Next contacted a source close to Vikram, they said, “These are mere rumours. Vikram is currently busy with the pre-production work of his dream project Mahaveer Karna and will start focusing more on his character. He will start listening to scripts only after he completes the projects he has committed himself to, till date.” Vikram is also waiting for the release of Kadaram Kondam, produced by Kamal Haasan.
