The shoot of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Darbar started rolling in Mumbai last month. In the last couple of weeks, several pictures of Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Yogi Babu and Nivetha Thomas have been leaked on social media. A source from the team told us that the director of the film Murugadoss is upset with the unit. “The team has been shooting outdoors, and public had easy access to click pictures from the sets. In fact, much to our shock a few team members had clicked pictures and circulated it on WhatsApp groups. Hence, to stop all this,Murugadoss has decided to shift to a remote location on the outskirts of the city,” said the source.
The source added that Murugadoss has banned assistant directors and production members, too, to carry mobile phones to the sets. Hence, no local media or outsiders will be allowed on the sets of the film. Darbar is Rajini’s 167th film and will have the actor playing a cop. Murugadoss, who had previously directed Vijay in Sarkar, has joined hands with Rajinikanth for the first time. The film has its music by Anirudh Ravichander and Santosh Sivan is thecinematographer. Produced by Lyca, the film will hit the screens for Pongal next year.
