Cognizant on acquisition spree

Cognizant revealed its plans to acquire Servian, an Australia-based, enterprise transformation consultancy firm specialising in data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital services, and Cloud, for an undisclosed sum.

The latest acquisition will significantly expand its integrated, end-to-end digital transformation capabilities in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) to help clients move to the cloud, build digital products and services. 

Cognizant’s over 1,200 professionals in Australia are serving more than 110 clients, including top Australian banks, insurers, retailers, and communications companies. 

Cognizant further announced that it has agreed to acquire Linium, a cloud transformation consultancy group specialising in the ServiceNow platform and solutions for smart digital enterprise workflows. Linium, operating as the ServiceNow business unit of Ness Digital Engineering, a privately-held portfolio company of The Rohatyn Group, helps Fortune 100 clients and others leverage cloud technology to improve operational efficiency and user experience. 

Cognizant has so far announced 11 acquisitions in the past 12 months at an aggregate investment of approximately $1.4 bn in its strategic digital focus areas.
