The label was founded in 2017 by Abishek Rengasamy, Founder and Chairman, A Square Garments. Recently Fincorp Global Holdings based out of Dubai joined hands with the company to open stores across markets in the Indian subcontinent, African and South East Asian nations with the first round of investment of $2 mn for 70 stores.Rengasamy says, “India’s active fitness wear segment is worth Rs 6,000 cr per annum and is expected to grow in double-digits. Our aim is to provide quality fitness clothing at affordable prices. Having sensed a market opportunity, we are planning our next growth phase by launching 50 stores in the next one year and 200 stores across India in the next 3 years. We are in talks with venture capitalists for expansion.”Founded in 2012, A Square Garments is an exclusive distributor (in the Tamil Nadu and Andaman region) for several international and Indian brands. It is also a supplier to various leading multi brand outlets across the region.
