Fairpro expected to generate 400 crore business
‘FAIRPRO 2018,’ the annual flagship property of CREDAI Chennai and the biggest property expo of Chennai, was inaugurated on Friday by TN Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam.

Credai Chennai announced that all projects are approved and registered under Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA), which will ensure hassle-free transactions for the homebuyers.
Suresh Krishn, President, CREDAI Chennai, said, “Fairpro is one of the most successful and longest running real-estate exhibitions in the country and we expect to see a steady footfall and make this year’s edition a grand success too. This is the first edition of post RERA and GST and it will bring better transparency and accountability, on-time delivery of projects from the real estate developers and an enhanced consumer confidence.
The stricter guidelines will help both homebuyers and developers acquaint themselves with all the RERA guidelines for smoother and transparent transition to a newer age in the real estate sector”.
Ananth Vummidi, Convener, Fairpro 2018 said, “Last year we saw a business to the tune of Rs 200 crore and we expect the business to double during this year’s expo.” Banks participating include, SBI, PNB Housing Finance Ltd, LIC Housing Finance, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank and Hinduja Housing Finance respectively. The ongoing exhibition will witness 85 developers displaying 300+ residential projects with the prices ranging from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 20 crore.
S Krishnan, Secretary- Housing and Urban Development Department, C Vijayaraj Kumar, Member Secretary- CMDA and Dr Beela Rajesh, Commissioner-DTCP, were also part of the inauguration event.
