German firm bags Hatsun order worth Rs 65 crore
In a move to meet the requirements for milk and curd packaging, Hatsun Agro Product Ltd (HAP), a city-based private dairy company, is establishing an automated greenfield project at Wallajabad near Chennai. The entity has a diverse range of dairy and ice cream products under several brands such as Hatsun, Arokya, Arun, IBACO.

Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H), a German based multinational and a leader in flexible packaging equipment manufacturing with a presence across 150 countries, bagged the order to commission the machines for the Greenfield project on a turnkey basis through its Indian subsidiary. The overall project cost is estimated around Rs 65 crore.
Prakash W Gupta, MD, W&H India, said,“Commissioning of these machines for HAP’s Greenfield plant is a remarkable milestone for us here in India which is also helping us to consolidate our leadership position in this sector.” The orders were booked in the Q2 of 2016 and HAP proposes to commence commercial production during October 2017.
