Talking to newspersons, RG Chandramogan – Chairman and MD, of the company said, “We procure 100 pc of the milk directly from farmers in Tamil Nadu and have heavily invested in procurement infrastructure to handle significant volumes of milk. Our infrastructure and inputs ensure better quality milk with high Methylene Blue Reduction Test (MBRT) Time and lower standard plate count (micro-organisms). This indicates lower microbial load and ensures freshness of milk. Our milk undergoes 42 tests from procurement to delivery stage to ensure highest standards are met for consumers.”

The official claimed the 47-year-old company was the fourth largest cooperative in the country and is associated with more than 4 lakh farmers across TN and other south Indian states.

C Sathyan, Executive Director, went on to say that the company’s milk was regularly sampled and tested by the FSSAI on a regular basis in Tamil Nadu and other states. “We ensure complete cold chain – right from procurement, processing and supply until it reaches the retail point. This ensures that only fresh quality milk reaches the end consumer.”
