Kovai: 4 held for celebrating birthday by cutting cake with machete

COIMBATORE: Four persons were arrested by Coimbatore city police for celebrating birthday by cutting a cake with a machete on Sunday night. Acting on a tip, a police team from Variety Hall Road reached the spot on Idayar Street. On seeing police, the four men took to their heels by throwing away the machete. However, police managed to nab the four persons identified as Ashok Kumar (30) from NGP Garden, his brother Aravind Kumar (27), Dinesh Kumar (23) from PN Pudur and Parthiban, (26), from MNG Street in Gandhipark. They were celebrating the birthday of Ashok Kumar. Police said they were already facing several cases.
