Modi agrees to smile more
PM Modi replied personally to Twitter users on Sunday morning for a brief period of time. To one user who asked the prime minister to smile more often, he replied, “Point taken :)” Modi replied to the Twitter users who tweeted using hashtag #PMInShahjahanpur while he addressed a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur. Another Twitter user who commended Modi for talking about the farmers a day after the marathon confidence session, he replied that the blessings of the 125 crore Indians is all that gives him the strength to do what he does.
Uber driver’s joyride trends on Twitter
Twitter user Preshit Deorukhkar shared his experience of an Uber ride that went wrong in a series of hilarious tweets. Deorukhkar gave a step by step update on where his driver went to. “Now he is just aimlessly roaming around on the Link road,” read the first of his many such updates. The trip ended with a bill of Rs 857.43. Uber refunded the entire amount with a message saying that it would be ‘unfair’ to charge him.
Dhoni still ‘captain’: BCCI app
BCCI was trolled all over social media after a fan tweeted a screenshot of BCCI’s official app which still had Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the captain of the Indian cricket team. The screenshot soon went viral across Twitter as fans started trolling BCCI for the major mix-up. Dhoni gave up test captaincy in December 2014 and handed the responsibility over to Virat Kohli in ODIs as well in January 2017.
Blind elephant sways to Bach’s tunes
Lam Duan, a visually challenged elephant, was seen swaying to the mellow tunes belted out by British pianist Paul Barton in an Youtube video. The video features Barton accompanied by the 62-year-old elephant in Thailand. Viewers found it heart-warming to see how the animal moved her tusk as the Barton played some compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach.
