Raghava Lawrence's Laxmmi Bomb will get a theatrical release in select overseas markets

While the movie will have OTT release for Indian audience, on November 9, it will also be simultaneously released in theatres, in Australia, New Zealand and the UAE.

Laxmmi Bomb is the remake of the Tamil horror-comedy, Muni 2: Kanchana, which was also directed by Raghava Lawrence.  This upcoming movie has a heavy star cast and it marks Raghava Lawrence's debut in Hindi as a director.

The movie has Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Akshay Kumar plays the role of a transgender in the film.

With the prevailing the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie was slated to have a digital release, on November 9, in  Disney+ Hotstar. The recent update by the movie makers was that the movie will have a simultaneous theatrical release in the selected overseas market - Australia, New Zealand, UAE.

The film also marks Akshay’s digital debut.
