Devotees discarding idols shared with false angle

Two recent videos show a bulldozer picking up hundreds of temple idols from a road, and people discarding idols from a bridge into the river below.

Both videos are shared with the claim that people are renouncing religion as they were not protected during the pandemic. Alt News found both clips were shot before the pandemic. The videos pertain to Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations when people chose not to pollute the water bodies.
