A recent viral message says the WHO has taken a ‘U-turn’ saying asymptomatic COVID-19 patients need not be isolated or quarantined as they cannot spread the virus. Footage of Dr Maria Van Kerkhove, technical lead of COVID-19, WHO Health Emergencies Programme, has been linked to this viral message. Alt News performed a fact check and found WHO still recommends self-isolation and the claim is false.
