Youth attacks advocate and her daughter with sickle

Inquiries revealed that based on a complaint by Banu’s daughter, studying in the Government Law College of harassment, the police had arrested Rahman.

COIMBATORE: A woman advocate and her daughter were attacked with a sickle by a youth in Tirupur on Sunday. Police said Jameela Banu, 40, a government pleader in the Mahila Court was with her daughter, 21, at her office on Tirupur Kumaran Road, when the accused Rahman Khan, 25 from the Periathottam area barged and unleashed an attack. Inquiries revealed that based on a complaint by Banu’s daughter, studying in the Government Law College of harassment, the police had arrested Rahman. As he came out on bail, Rahman attempted revenge.
