Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Mohideen said, the ‘virus’, BJP, which was active only used in the northern states, has now come down to Tamil Nadu and the IUML would stop it from spreading across thenation.

He said the TN people were willing to remove the AIADMK and BJP from the state and central governments which were acting against the interest of the people. “If the votes split, it will only favour the BJP. Therefore, the entire minority should vote for the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance,” he said.

He also condemned the BJP for including the Triple Talaq amendment in its manifesto. Similarly, the saffron party’s promise of altering the Holy Quran was an anti-Muslim move, he claimed adding, “No one has the right to alter the holy tenets,” he added.
