Persons who were riding both two wheeler riders, were killed, one of them on the spot when their vehicles collided head on with each other near Thanipadi in Tiruvannamalai district on Thursday night.
According to police, Prakash (18) son of Kumar of Mudiyanur near Thanipadi, was on his way home from Mel Tiruvallur village in Kallakurichi district, when his vehicle collided with another biked, ridden by Rayar (56) of Nerinjipadi in Tiruvannamalai district. Passers-by at the local bus stand stated that both of them were thrown away due to the impact of the accident and Rayar died on the spot.
Locals rushed Prakash to the Tiruvannamalai Government Medical College and Hospital and later moved him to the Vellore Government Medical College and Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Friday.
Thanipadi police registered a case. Investigations are on.
