VELLORE: Two AEs attached to TNEB sub stations (SS) at Katpadi and Tharapadavedu were shifted due to a power failure when Water Resources Minister Duraimurgan was speaking at a function in the Katpadi Government Girls Higher Secondary School after distributing bicycles, on Tuesday.
When the power failed, officials including Collector Kumaravel Pandian and MLAs P Karthikeyan (Vellore) and AP Nanda Kumar (Anaicut) were unable to get power back resulting in the Minister leaving in a huff.
This resulted in an enquiry based on which the Katpadi SS AE Kiran Kumar was shifted to Vaduganthangal SS while Chittibabu, the AE attached to Tharapadavedu sub station was moved to the Katpadi SS.
