Tamil Nadu State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has been entrusted to get the feedback from the stakeholders and the public so that the government could prepare a comprehensive report and send it to the Centre shortly.

A senior official from SCERT said that the draft education policy has been translated to Tamil and posted online for public view.

He said the policy in English version contains 484 pages, which is complicated, and many will find it difficult to read. “Therefore, the draft was carefully translated and made into 50 pages for the Tamil version”, he said adding all the points were made to be read easily.

“The government has decided to get feedback from the people to send the State opinion to MHRD”, he added. According to the official, the suggestions will be scrutinized and taken into consideration.

The SCERT official said on the first day, more than 500 suggestions were received. “The last date to submit the opinion is on July 25,” he added.
