TN reports second Covid death on June 1

Currently 189 Covid patients are on the active list and 27 people were discharged in the state.

CHENNAI: A 25-year-old male Covid positive with bronchial asthma and severe acute tubular injury died here on Sunday taking the state's death toll to two.

Earlier, on May 28, a 60-year-old man who tested positive for Covid-19 died at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH).

Tamil Nadu recorded 14 new Covid cases and the total active cases stood at 199 as of June 1, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

In total, 13 Covid patients were cured in the State. Kerala recorded the highest with 1,400 active cases.

The total number of active cases in the country now stands at 3,758 with 363 new cases.
