TN primary schools told to admit students on Vijaya Dashami

The Directorate has also informed all the District Primary Education Officers (DPEOs) to issue appropriate instructions to the teachers.

CHENNAI: As Vijaya Dashami is considered to be an auspicious day according to Hindu religion, the Directorate of Elementary Education has instructed all primary schools in Tamil Nadu to conduct admission on Wednesday.

The Directorate has also informed all the District Primary Education Officers (DPEOs) to issue appropriate instructions to the teachers. Subsequently, headmasters of respective schools have been told to hold admissions on Wednesday and enroll students in LKG, UKG and Class 1.
