Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy began listed out the welfare scheme worth Rs 21.57 crores out of the Rs 304 crores earmarked for Madurai.

Major part of this announcement is the inauguration of a covid-care facility in Madurai's Vadapazhancheri.

A makeshift facility rooming 900 beds is made in the Tech park premise.
