Tamil Nadu government is ready to face the Northeast monsoon rains: Edappadi

The CM stated that the government is working on numerous precautionary measures to protect people in times of unexpected disasters during the monsoon rains.

As the northeast monsoon rains have already begun in certain parts of Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has now affirmed that the government is ready to face it along with precautionary measures.

He said that the food production in Tamil Nadu is going well with the arrival of monsoon rains. The government is working on numerous precautionary measures to protect people in times of unexpected disasters.

The CM further added, "Necessary equipment are ready to be used if there are tree falls due to storms. The rescue forces are also ready to safeguard people during storms." 

He said Tamil Nadu has relaxed 90% of lockdown restrictions and the Covid-19 spread has been considerably decreased due to the government's efforts.
