Students plan relay protest against BDU

Students from Rajah Serfoji Government Arts College, Thanjavur, staged a protest against Bharathidasan University for increasing the exam fee on Thursday and announced a relay protest from April 13 if the university fails to withdraw the hike.

TIRUCHY: Students from Rajah Serfoji Government Arts College, Thanjavur, staged a protest against Bharathidasan University for increasing the exam fee on Thursday and announced a relay protest from April 13 if the university fails to withdraw the hike. The agitating students said that the Bharathidasan University has increased the exam fee by three times. They said that apart from the exam fee, the university had hiked several other fees also and claimed that it has become a burden to them. SFI district president Arjun said that the federation would mobilise students and go on relay protest in front of the university in Tiruchy from April 13 if the hike was not withdrawn.
